rahul kuntala quotes

An athlete participated in a 100 meter race in the Under 17 age category.

He would always finish in the top 3.

This went on for a year.

Then he decided to take part in the Under 21 category, as he thought he was better than the others in the previous category.

Only this time he finished in the last spot in the first six races.

But one thing happened.

His speed was better than ever.

This story teaches us a lesson.

If you want to be better and smarter, spend time with people who are better and smarter than you. You will feel inferior at first, but gradually you will improve and become a version of yourself you could only dream of at one point.

Spend time and make friends with people who are smarter and better than you, that’s how you grow BIG!

Hurting others come back to you a 1000 fold

One night a snake while it was looking for food, entered a carpenter’s workshop.

As it crawled to the corner, it went through a saw and hurt itself a little bit. At that time he turned and bit the saw, and biting the saw, he hurt himself badly in the mouth.

snake saw rahul kuntala

Then, not understanding what was happening to him and thinking that saw was attacking him, he decided to roll around the saw as if wanting to suffocate him with his whole body, and shaking with all his strength. It was so, unfortunately, the snake ended up being killed by the saw.

Sometimes in trying to hurt others, we only hurt ourselves.

In life, sometimes it is better to ignore few situations, people and misdeeds. Because the consequences can be irreversible and catastrophic.

The lesson?

It is always better to act in love even if it costs a lot, in the face of hate or idle words! If karma is on your side, you will see all your enemies fall and swallow their own words.

Why should we read books?

There is this conversation between John Snow and Tyrion Lannister in the Game of Thrones series.

John Snow: Why do you read so much?

why should you read books

Tyrion Lannister: Look at me and tell me what you see.

got quotes

J.S.: Is this a trick?

T.L.: What you see is dwarf. If I’d be born peasant they might have left me out in the woods to die. Alas, I was born a Lannister of Casterly Rock. Things are expected of me. My father was the hand of the king for 20 years.

J.S.: Until your brother killed that king.

T.L.: Yes, until my brother killed him. Life is full of these little ironies. My sister married the new king, and my repulsive nephew will be the king after him. I must do my part for the honour of my house. Wouldn’t you agree? But how? Well, my brother has his sword and I have my mind and a mind needs books like sword needs a whetstone. That’s why I read so much, John snow.

That’s why you should read more books!

How to Earn 3 Lakhs Every Month?

If you read every single word written on this page, you’ll find ways to make 3 lakhs every single month.

Let’s get started!

I’ve a confession to make: I make a ton of money every single week (I don’t save much though).

I work online. I’m a digital marketer.

Whatever I earned until now after completing my graduation in computer science, I made it all through online. I never made even a penny outside of digital marketing.

If you’re curious about how I earn money from online, my major income sources are;

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Digital marketing consultation (online one on one)
  • Freelancing
  • Making money from niche websites and so on

Still most people (even my family or gf) don’t know how much I really make every month.

The reason is: I keep few things discrete. ONLY my bankers know how much I make every month 😉

But here’s the thing: I make enough money to easily buy an iPhone X thrice every month and a Royal Enfield Classic 350 twice a month.

There you go! I just revealed how much approximately I make in a month 😉

Go figure it out.

That being said, if you’re a BIG thinker like me who wants to earn 3 lakhs or even more every single month, I’ve few tips for you.

Tip #1: Read EVERY single day

The fastest way to succeed in any field is to read. Read every single day.

Read marketing books. Read about psychology. Read about selling. Learn why people buy something.

Learn why people do what they do. If you know the behaviour of people, you can make a ton of money.

Most people are stuck in rat race and often forgetting the importance of understanding the people’s behaviour.

If you can sell a pen to random guy walking across the street, you can do almost in the world.

That selling skill can only be acquired if you learn from a book or mentor. Luckily, books are golden and often available at our disposal.

Tip #2: Work smart, not hard

Working 10 hours a day is one thing. Working 4 hours a day and spending 6 hours to coming up with new ideas to make more money is another thing. I belong to the 2nd category.

If you know me for some time, you know that I sleep every afternoon. I go to bed really early and I wake up at 5 AM every single day no matter what day it is (whether it’s my birthday, 31st december or some other fucking day).

I’ve a daily routine. I follow it rigorously.

The key is: work smart, not hard.

If you’re already working on a 9 to 6 job, find ways to reduce your commute time. Or use your commute time to read something or to develop a skill (be it coding or selling).

Tip #3: When everybody zigs, you zag

I love this.

When everyone zigs, I usually zag.

I love to create my own path. I never follow the crowd. I’m not boasting about it but the best way to succeed in life is to be independent.

Although I got so many opportunities to work along with top MNCs like Google, Facebook, Dropbox etc – I never preferred them for just one reason: I wanted to be my own boss.

I assure you that you’ll be a millionaire sooner or later if you find your own path. That’s the power of being independent.

Ask yourself “Is earning 30,000 or 1 lakh a month enough for you?”

What’s more important to you “money or happiness?”

Let me tell you one thing: 99% of your problems can be solved if you have enough money!

So go figure out ways to earn more money. Think BIG. REALLY Big. If you can dream it, you can make it.

Life is simple, people are complicated

I’ve a simple question for you: what’s the value of 4 + 5 = ?

Obviously, the answer is 9

Now.. tell me the value of the expression below:

0.5 { ln (e^(4))} +ln (e^(5))+e^(0 )+log (1)

The answer is the same 9.

We got the same result in the above 2 cases.

The first approach is simple and straightforward. But the second one is NOT.

If all of us are given an option to choose one of the above two options, almost everyone of us will pick the first one.

The same concept applies for our lives too.

Be grateful for everything you have in life

Life is a lot easier now than it has ever been. 200 years ago, if you didn’t kill your own food or build your own house, you would probably die. Today, we whine about forgetting an iPhone charger.

It’s all about perception. Focus on what you’re truly grateful for instead of focusing on bad things that are happening in your life. That’s how you live a stress-free and happier life.

Be grateful. Find happiness in every tiny moment of your life. Work hard. Be loyal. Live your legacy!

A great piece of advice

Divide your life into four periods, from 0 to 15 is time to grow physically, from 16 to 30 time to grow in education, from 31 to 45 time to grow economically. 46 to 60 is time to enjoy all your growth.  After sixty is a gift.

Imagine that you’ve been arrested for 5 years

Imagine for a second that you’ve been sentenced for 5+ years in prison.

Being jailed for 5 years means, you won’t have access to:

  • phone
  • friends
  • smoking/drinking
  • air conditioner, TV
  • watching your favourite movies or eating ice cream

And more importantly no access to Facebook or WhatsApp.

You’ll no longer live like you want. In short, you’ll no longer have FREEDOM.

How does it feel like?

HORRIBLE, right?

Not yet! Here’s more.

Your so called friends or relatives meet you only for a specific time. Then, they will keep on gossiping about you and eventually forget you within a month or two.

Your so called girlfriend/boyfriend whom you loved most will find someone else. Sad but harsh truth! (After all, no one waits for you for 5+ years, right? It only happens in Indian movies) 😉

You will LEARN that the world doesn’t care about you.

You will FIND OUT who your true friends are.

You will REALISE the world won’t stop for you!

You will LEARN that all the time you spent on Facebook chatting with random people, taking selfies, WhatsApping are completely USELESS. And won’t come to rescue you.

So what’s the purpose of living when the world doesn’t owe you anything?

Decide what matters to you most. Make the RIGHT choices. Find out who your true friends are. Stay away from all those people who don’t believe in you. Figure out how you can inspire others. Lead a life worth living. Think BIG. Work your ass off.

There’s no use of wasting your time on useless things or people. Make EVERY day count.

After all, we all have just ONE life.

P.S: Although I did not have a five-year sentence or even a 5-minute sentence, my feeling is that any prison sentence of a year or more is instructive and you’ll FEEL the same what I expressed above.

My new daily routine

Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo, Charles Darwin, Aristotle.

Did you know what’s the ONE thing that’s common in all of them?

Deep work.

Deep work is the reason why they are innovative and highly successful.

What is deep work?

Deep work is the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task. It’s a skill that allows you to quickly master complicated information and produce better results in less time.

Cal Newport, Georgetown University professor and also the author of Deep Work had introduced me this book. I was stunned with his writing. You should definitely check this book out if you want to get faster results by doing deep work.

After shifting to my new home, I’ve been doing things really differently.

They said “change your environment to change your life”. Rightly said!

In life, my only goal is to inspire as many people as I can with my work. While I’m on my way to leading a productive lifestyle, here are few things I did.

  • Uninstalled WhatsApp (I found it useless)
  • Uninstalled Facebook and Messenger apps from my smartphone
  • As a side note, I’m thinking about getting a basic phone (probably Nokia 1100) that’s only made for making calls.

Why do all these stuff?

The ONLY reason is technology. It’s a two edged sword. If not used right, Facebook, WhatsApp – they all can kill your precious time.

The ONLY way to get rid of those time wasters is to downgrade your lifestyle. Ultimately it gives you access to doing deep work.

That being said, here’s what I’m doing every single day.

6 am to 7 am- get up and run for 30 mins

7 am to 7.30 am – green tea while skimming through news paper

7.30 am to 8.30 am – reading books (currently reading Smarter, Faster, Better by Charles Duhigg)

8.30 am to 9.30 am – breakfast, small chat with family and plan for the day

9.30 am to 11 am – work for 90 mins

11 am to 11.30 am – break

11.30 am to 1 pm – work for 90 mins

1 pm to 2 pm – lunch

2 pm to 4 pm – emails, client calls, whiteboard sessions etc

4 pm to 5.30 pm – work for 90 mins

5.30 pm to 6 pm – break

6 pm to 7.30 pm – work for 90 mins

7.30 pm to 8.30 pm – dinner time, family time

8.30 pm to 9.30 pm – reading books

9.30 pm to 6 am – sleep

P.S: I work for 90 mins straight for a reason – it’s the most optimal time to work productively by taking regular breaks. If you are working, studying or writing – give a try to 90 min sessions. They work like a charm. Make sure to take a 15 to 30 min break in between.
